Sri Nirmal Dutta

Sri Nirmal Dutta was born at Kolkata in 1926 and left for heavenly world on 30th November, 2007.
During his career he was attached with the Education Department of Kolkata Municipal Corporation.

Smt Nilima Dutta

Born in 28th February, 1934, Kolkata. Smt Nilima Dutta graduated from Government College of Arts & Crafts, Kolkata, 1954 and after that completed Art Appreciation Course from University of Kolkata, 1957. She has participated in many exhibitions in India and in Malaysia, Japan & Australia and received 11 awards and a number of honours. Collections are in India and abroad.

The Bengal School has played a significant role during the stagnant period of the Indian Art. The Art genre of this school was originated by Abanindranath Tagore ( 1871-1951) and was widely spread through his disciples and their successors. A student of Govt. College of Arts and Crafts, Kolkata, Mrs. Nilima Dutta (born 28th Feb, 1934) is one of the successful torch bearers of such an outstanding Art form. She was graduated in the year 1954 and completed her Art appreciation form Univ. of Kolkata in 1957.

She retired as an Art Teacher from Brahma Balika Shikshalaya in 1994.
